Dr. Andreas Möller is the newly appointed Global STEM Professor of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Director of the JC Lab of Precision Cancer Medicine at the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences, Hong Kong. He is also adjunct Professor the School of Biomedical Science at the Queensland University of Technology. Previously, Dr Möller was Group Leader of the Tumour Microenvironment Laboratory at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, Brisbane, Australia and Associate Professor with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland. Dr Möller received his doctoral training at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Berne, Switzerland, and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center, Melbourne, Australia. Dr Möller is an expert in cancer metastasis and cancer immunology, and now has more than 15 years of experience in the Extracellular Vesicle (EV) field. He is elected Board member of the International Society of Extracellular Vesicles, Executive Board Member of the Asian Pacific Societies for Extracellular Vesicles and an international leader in the field, with a FWCI >19. Based on clinical collaborations, patents in the EV field and commercial partners, his work is focused on gaining a better understanding of the role of EVs in cancer progression and their use as cancer biomarkers.
